Can PDF Pro convert PDFs created from scanned images?

This Article concerns features available in the following applications: PDF Pro;

A scan is essentially a photograph of whatever is put into the scanner (such as a sheet of paper). As such, if this image is then converted to pdf, you’re essentially pasting an image into a pdf file.

PDF Pro does not currently integrate with Optical Character Recognition (OCR), and therefore cannot convert images to selectable text. It can, however, create a ‘flat’ pdf document from any image output of a scanner.

If you have an image file which has been output from your scanner, you can follow these steps to convert it to a PDF file:

Step 1: open PDF Pro

Step 2: Click on the “Create” tab, and then “Create from file”

Step 3: add the images generated by your scanner and order them. Press create and the output will be a PDF file.
